Culture Camp Guernsey - 12th October 2027
The island’s celebration of workplace culture is back for the second year, and this time we’re diving into heart and high performance!
Culture Camp Guernsey is back.
In October 2026, we brought Culture Camp to Guernsey for the first time. We said we’d go again, and that’s exactly what we are doing.
Culture Camp Guernsey 2027 takes placed on Tuesday 12th October at St Pierre Park Hotel. This year we’re tackling one of the most stubborn myths in the world of work.
Who's it for?
People leaders, HR, L&D, DEI, ops, founders, managers, coaches and creatives. Anyone who believes culture is everyone’s job, and who’s tired of being told they have to pick between caring and delivering.
You don’t need a fancy title.
You just need to want work to be better, and have the bottle to do something about it.
What to expect
Expect energy, honesty and challenge in equal measure. You’ll leave camp with ideas and the fire to create workplaces people don’t want to escape from.
Our first Culture Camp in October 2025 explored topics from what it means to lead across generations, to supporting people through their toughest moments. Throughout the day we were reminded of how wellbeing fuels performance, and how culture can shift 1% at a time. Between sessions, we made space to connect, reflect, and recharge – with turmeric and ginger wellness shots, and plenty of conversation that carried long past the closing session.
What you'll get:
- A full day of inspiring talks and energising workshops.
- Big topics on all things leadership and culture
- An inclusive atmosphere of warmth, energy and optimism.
- Fresh thining and practical ideas that you can implement straight away.
Meet the speakers
Shurron Rosales
Belonging and high performance: two sides of the same coin.
Shurron is back for her third Culture Camp. Shurron is an Inclusion Specialist wth 20+ years of experience across charities, corporates and education, and brings both deep expertise and rich, intersectional lived experience.
Inclusion and high performance are often treated as separate, or as if one is a nice extra on top of the other. In this session, Shurron will explore why they belong together – what happens to people’s work, and to the business, when people truly belong, and what it costs when they don’t. And what it takes to build workplaces where everyone can do their best work.
Claire Knight
Coaching for Performance (and how it’s an inside job).
Claire is a coach and consultant whose leadership experience spans world renowned tourist attractions, the charity sector and the NHS. From imposter syndrome as a new manager in her early twenties to leading stressed, dispersed teams across the UK during the COVID pandemic, she has navigated many common leadership challenges and life experiences.
In this session, we will explore how a Coaching Mindset creates opportunities for people to expand into the greatest versions of themselves. Expect some reflection, because it all starts with you.
Hetal Hathiwala & Raj Hathiwala
Think for Yourself: being brilliantly human in the age of AI.
AI can write your emails, summarise your reports and knock out a strategy before you’ve finished your morning cuppa. So what’s left for us?
Loads, actually.
The more we hand over to the machines, the more our human edge matters: asking better questions, reading the room, and knowing how we and the people around us actually think. Hetal and Raj will use Insights Discovery to show how your preferences shape the way you take in information, make decisions and spot (or completely miss) what’s right in front of you. Then they’ll give you practical critical-thinking habits so you don’t outsource your judgement along with your admin.
You’ll walk out knowing more about how you think, how your team thinks, and how to keep your brain switched on when it’s never been easier to switch it off.
Gemma Ellison
Kind and Demanding: why you don’t have to choose.
Gemma will close the day by tackling the big question head on. Can you have a team that genuinely cares and genuinely delivers?
Yes. But not by accident. Warmth without standards is just being nice. Standards without warmth is just pressure. The magic happens when you’ve got both, and most leaders were never shown how. Gemma will share what she’s seen in the teams that get it right, why so many of us default to one side, and the small, every day moves that let you hold the bar high and still have people’s backs.
